Here's How Often You Should Exfoliate Your Skin

Your skincare routine should include some sort of exfoliation everyday.  Whether you use a loofa in the shower or an exfoliating lotion after your shower, you should be including this activity into your daily routine.  That being said, I get asked all of the time how often I would do a deep exfoliation of my skin.

The answer is, it depends on how you're doing it.

If you are opting for the harsh chemicals of a peel, you do not want to do this to your skin more often then you need to.  I do not suggest this type of treatment to anyone as it often does more damage then good to your skin.  I would skip this type of treatment all together.

If you are opting for the gentle exfoliation of InstantPeel then you can certainly be using this product twice a week.  This is not needed for everyone, so it does depend on your skin type and how hard you are on your skin.  If you exercise everyday and your skin is out in the sun for a good portion of the day, exfoliating two to three times a week is a must.  If you work in an office and don't get to the gym as often as you would like, you can likely use it once a week and have lasting impacts.

While the exact amount of times that you exfoliate will vary depending on your circumstances and your skin type, one thing is certain that the old way of using a chemical peel to clear away dead skin and "rejuvenate" your skin is not the way to go.  A gentler touch is needed when considering how to wipe away the old and surface the new.

Once you've settled on using InstantPeel for your skincare routine, it may require some experimentation to get the amount of times you use it just right.  Once you've found your sweet spot you will want to maintain consistency in your routine and continue to exfoliate on a schedule.  Your skin will thank you for it.
