The temperature has dropped to the point where now if you are not taking care of your skin you may run into some really difficult conditions. When your skin is exposed to cold temperatures and biting wind it can be difficult to maintain that glowing, youthful look you are aiming to achieve with your skincare routine.
There is good news though. If you are maintaining a skincare routine and you stick with it, no matter how harsh the elements are you may be able to combat the dryness and redness of winter skin.
So, today, on National Winter Skin Relief Day we're going to give you a couple of tips and tricks to make sure your skin stays it's best even as the temperature on the thermometer drops outside.
Tip #1: Always dress to protect your skin. If you are headed out in cold and wind you will want to cover your exposed skin. Wrap your exposed skin on your face with a scarf and make sure to wear good, protective gloves so your hands do not get cracked or red.
Tip #2: Increase the amount of times you exfoliate. We generally recommend exfoliating your skin once a month, but during the winter months you may want to increase that to once every two weeks. Give how easy and gentle our InstantPeel Exfoliant is it will work wonders on your dry and red skin.
Tip #3: Be generous with your moisturizer. When your skin does get red and parched you will need to continue to moisturize and you may want to increase the amount of times you are moisturizing from your normal skincare routine. If you are spending more time outdoors you will want to increase the amount of moisturizer you are using.
On this National Winter Skin Relief Day you can take some solace in the fact that you are not alone in your battle against the natural effects of the cold and dry weather. Today and every day this winter take extra precautions to keep yourself and your skin feeling it's best.
