February is the month of LOVE. Sure there is February 14th, that boring holiday known as Valentine's Day, but our favorite holiday is...wait for it...Galentine's Day!
You've never heard of Galentine's Day? Here's what it is all about.
As started on NBC's hit sitcom Parks and Recreation, Galentine's Day is a celebration of all the amazing women in our lives each and every day. It is a day to leave husbands and boyfriends at home and celebrate the ladies. On the show, all of the woman in and around the Parks Department got together for a breakfast celebration, but you can do it however you see fit.
Gather you girlfriends for a virtual happy hour. Try out a virtual spa party with one of our amazing trios. Spice up your evening with a virtual cooking class. (Next year we can get back to celebrating in person...fingers crossed.)
You can go big, like Leslie Knope, or you can just reach out a couple of the women in your life who you love and admire with a simple hello and thank you for being your friend. However you choose to do it, make sure you squeeze out every last bit of love you have for those amazing ladies in your life.
The next day, there will be plenty of time left to toast to the other gender, but for now we're celebrating the female friends that make our days happy and our nights so much fun!
Cheers to you on this Galentine's Day!
